It’s here, it’s happened! Knits of a Feather is officially out! After more than a year of writing, knitting, and waiting, I can’t believe that this past weekend was the launch party at Trumpet Hill. I am so humbled and grateful to my amazing family, friends, students, and customers for their incredible support in making the party a tremendous success!
Delicious food, gorgeous flowers, wonderful knitters, and of course, tons of copies of my new book were everywhere. Talk about surreal! Several samples were on display, including the Peacock Tam, Partridge Holiday Pillow, Birds on a Wire Cowl, Contour Feathers Pullover, Robin’s Egg Wristlets, and Lovebird Mittens. Look closely, and you may even spot a model or two!
Thank you so much to the amazing Robena DeMatteo for kicking things off in style — the bar has been raised, my friend. It was incredible. Thank you to Ruth, Cookie, and Patty for your tireless help! I couldn’t ask for kinder, more generous friends. I truly appreciate it! Finally, thank you to my husband John for supporting me — shaking hands, taking photos, and answering more yarn, pattern, and design questions than any non-knitter should! Love you!
The weekend of festivities was the first in a series of events to promote the book, with my next stop scheduled for The Spinning Room in Altamont, NY for a signing and trunk show this Wednesday, September 25 from 6-8 pm. Afterwards, I’ll be in Cape Cod for the weekend of the 28th and 29th to teach workshops at Sage Yarn, followed by a book signing at Knitty City in NYC. Coming up in October are workshops for the Twisted Stitches Knitting Guild of Central New York, signings at the NYS Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, and much more! Hop on over to my Events page for full details — hope to see you soon!
